Preparation for Ultherapy®
Before Treatment
- Follow a good daily medical-grade skincare regimen to prep your skin and maintain results.
- Use sunscreen with SPF 30+ daily to protect your skin. We recommend EltaMD.
- Stay hydrated before and after your treatment for the best results.
During Treatment
- Treatment time varies depending on the area treated but most areas take between 50 and 90 minutes.
- You may feel a warm, tingling sensation as ultrasound energy is delivered to deeper layers of the skin.
- You will be given a fan and a distraction device to aid with any comfort.
After Treatment
- You can return to your regular routine immediately after treatment.
- Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness is common but typically subsides within a few hours to days.
- Avoid Retin-A or acids for 48 hours after treatment. Limit sun exposure and use sunscreen daily to protect treated areas.
- Results develop gradually as collagen production increases, with optimal results seen in 2–3 months.
