Clear + Brilliant^® PRE & POST TREATMENT INFORMATION

For 2 weeks BEFORE treatment:

• Avoid the use of topical retinoids and topical corticosteroids
• Avoid tanning including: tanning beds, sunless tanners and direct sun exposure

For 24-48 hours BEFORE treatment:

• If you wish to shave in the treatment area before the Clear + Brilliant treatment, you may do so 24-48 hours prior.
  • Men should shave the treatment area the day of treatment
• If your face or treatment area has irritated

The first 24 hours AFTER treatment:

• Strict sun avoidance
• Make-up should NOT be worn on the treatment area
• Use ONLY a gentle cleanser with tepid water and moisturizer in the treatment area
• Do NOT pick at the treatment area
• On the night of the procedure apply the Neocutis NeoRestore Mask
  • After cleansing and drying your face, remove the mask from pouch and peel off the protective mesh lining, and apply mask over face. Pat gently to ensure mask fits well onto skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Gently remove mask and lightly massage any remaining liquid into skin. Do NOT rinse. Discard the mask after a single use.

The days FOLLOWING treatment:

• Continue to minimize sun exposure for at least 2 weeks following treatment
• Return to a regular medical-grade skincare regimen including active sunscreen application of SPF 30 or more
• For 72 hours AVOID:
  • Sweating, straining, heavy lifting, vigorous exercise
  • Hot tubs, saunas, steam showers or excessively hot water
• For 1 week AVOID:
  • Scented lotions / soaps
  • Exfoliants, loofa sponges and aggressive scrubbing
  • Products with acids (Retin-A, glycolic/salicylic, alpha-hydroxy – AHA, and beta-hydroxy – BHA)
  • Acne creams or gels
• Mineral based makeup is acceptable once swelling has subsided

For best results:

• Do NOT pick at the treated tissue
  • Picking at the skin can result in hyper- or hypopigmentation
• Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 30+ with Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Dioxide daily.
  • The treatment area is more susceptible to sunburn, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation.
• Follow a good medical-grade skin care regimen
  • Frequently apply moisturizer if the skin feels dry or tight

Post treatment expectations:

• Redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding and a mild sunburn sensation in the treatment area are normal and can persist for 24-72 hours
• Dryness and sandpaper feel or texture to the skin can occur and may persist for 1-2 weeks
• Slightly darker skin appearance can last up to 2 weeks
